Regisseur und Drehbuchautor Michael Dougherty konnte nun gegebenüber den Kollegen von EW bestätigen, dass aktuell an einer Fortsetzung des recht beliebten Horrorfilmes "Trick 'r Treat" aus dem Jahre 2007 gearbeitet wird. Zwar befindet sich das Projekt in einer sehr sehr frühen Phase, doch das Sequel wird kommen.

Bislang gibt es auch noch kein Drehbuch, jedoch wird Legendary Picture das Projekt finanzieren. Geplant ist hierbei gar ein Kinostart für 2015, welches dem Erstling noch verwehrt blieb.
