Say "hello" to the little boy named Caillou. He lives with his mommy and daddy, sister Rosie and cat Gilbert and he is getting bigger every day. His imagination is also expanding with help from his stuffed friends Matthew Theodore Bear and Rexie the dinosaur. This episode is all about growing up. What will Caillou be when he grows up? WIll he be a pack-rat like his daddy? What's it like to ride the schoolbus? Does he have to grow up if that means that someday he will be TOO old?

Caillou spends his summer doing many new things. While the family is on vacation, they go to the beach and camping in the woods. The cold water takes some getting used to but once he's in, it's alot of fun. While camping he gets to sleep outside in the hammock with daddy and even sees a moose. Once back at home, the family goes to a theme park and rides the log ride and eats cotton candy. On a really hot day, he and Rosie run through the sprinkler, then watch real kids run through the sprinkler and play in the pool.

To stay healthy it takes alot of work. You have to wash, brush your teeth, eat good and get plenty of excercise. As Caillou finds out, you also have to go to the dentist and the doctor for regular check-ups. Even daddys get sick sometimes, unfortunately for Caillou it is on the day when daddy was going to take him to work. That's ok because Caillou has to help mommy take care of daddy. When Teddy gets sick he has Rexy and Gilbert to make him all better again. Those itchy bumps can mean only one thing...Caillou has the chicken pox!

When you're a pet, you must go to the vet. Like humans, pets need to eat well and get exercise in order to stay healthy. Caillou and Gilbert learn that sometimes you even have to rescue your pet. Poor Gilbert gets stuck in a tree, but once he is safe and sound Caillou gets a ride in the fire truck and even gets a tour of the station house. As the family pet, Gilbert puts up with a lot, including playing dress-up, but in the end most of what he gets is love. Even Rexy enjoys the attention that comes with being Gilbert's pet.

Caillou is a big help around the house, especially when it comes to helping to take care of Rosie.

This episode, Caillou spends being creative. With grandpa's help he makes a paper hat for his daddy. Later with grandma, he and Rosie make their own instruments so that they can play with grandma in her band. Real kids get get creative and draw, paint and make things out of clay. Caillou, Leo and Clementine put on a show at school. Caillou plays the very important part of the sun. Even Theodore Bear gets into the act, making a collage with things from the garden.

Caillou gets to go with his neighbor, Mr. Hinkle to visit a farm and it turns out that "farmer Caillou" is a big help.

It's planes, trains and automobiles (plus a toy boat) for Caillou.

It's Mother's Day and for mommy's special day, Caillou's family goes to a retaurant for brunch. Rexie learns from Teddy all about manners and how to behave properly. Caillou gets to be Sarah's little brother for a day and go to school with her. Caillou just wants to play by himself but Rosie won't let him.

Things that go bump in the night, and others that light up the sky, are on everyone's mind today. A family corn roast dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's under the star-studded sky prompts Grandpa to bring out his telescope and introduce Caillou to the constellations, planets, and moon. Grandpa discovers a new planetarium is opening and there's a prize for the best space costume. Caillou is thrilled when the winner turns out to be...a surprise! But fun turns to fear at bedtime when Caillou decides that a monster is lurking in his room. All's well when Mom and Dad unmask ...

A day of new discoveries! Caillou loses his voice, finds a frog in his throat, and finds other neat ways to communicate, until the frog goes away. Later on, Caillou is missing one of his favorite socks. He searches the house, and accidentally locks himself in the basement. Daddy comes to the rescue - only he locks himself in the basement too. All is well when Mommy saves them both and finds the missing sock. Then, Caillou, Rosie and Julie, their babysitter, go on a scavenger hunt.

Caillou's clowning around today and having a wonderful time. Seeing Bravo the magician at a friend's birthday party inspires Caillou to become Caillou the Great and put on a magic show of his own. He plays the clown for a wary Rosie, who's afraid of clowns until Caillou shows her they're just people wearing silly costumes. Then, Caillou gets to go to a parade; has another pretend parade with Dad; and even makes puppet clowns with Grandma. Caillou is very excited when the family takes a trip across country by train.

Today, Caillou discovers something inside him that makes ordinary things fun: imagination! Unable to fly his kite on a windless day, Caillou stares at the clouds and finds they're really wagons, balloons and dinosaurs, if you look at them just right. When rain grounds his kite another day, Caillou and Dad turn the living room into a pirate ship. Just like his Daddy, Caillou loves anything to do with cars, so heâ€ôs very happy when Dad asks him to help wash the family car. Even though Caillou is a little boy, he has a big job - he is Rosie's big brother! Caillou helps Mommy, Daddy and Grandma with his little sister Rosie and learns that sometimes it's fun just to be a little boy, too.

Caillou and Dad are settling down for their favourite weekend ritual of "reading" the paper. Caillou can't seem to play quietly in his room without Rosie interrupting and generally getting in his way. Caillou, Mum and Rosie go to the park for a picnic and bring a kite. Mum and Dad are busy with spring cleaning and Caillou wants to help.

Caillou's learning to do new things, and discovering it's okay to have help while he learns. To prove he's ready to help Dad paint the porch, Caillou paints Rosie's dollhouse first - and Gilbert, with paint-dipped paws, does some painting too! Caillou moves from renovation to recreation when Dad and Sarah teach him to play baseball; Dad teaches him to swim; and Clementine goads him into going down the big kids' slide. Mom shows Caillou how to tie his shoes but he get frustrated and stops trying. With courage and practice, he's soon able to do these things on his own.

Caillou tries his hand at being family photographer and discovers it can be a pretty tricky job. Caillou and Leo can't find Caillou's airplane anywhere but their hunt through the house turns up all sort of other lost items. After getting caught in the rain, Caillou loses his voice. Caillou is invited to Leo's birthday party and is overjoyed when he discovers there will be a magician present.

Mum, an avid skier, takes Caillou downhill skiing while Dad and Rosie sit in the cozy chalet and watch. Caillou is very excited when the family takes a trip across country by train. Caillou finds an old toy sailing boat Grandpa used to have when he was a kid. Mr. Hinkle invites Caillou to visit his sister's farm.

Things get a little scary today. Caillou and his new neighbours, Jason and Jeffery, are playing hide and go seek in the backyard, until dusk brings out the shadows. A flashlight and Mommy help chase the shadows away. That evening, Caillou can't fall asleep when he hears scary "scratchy monster" noises and thinks there's a monster in his room. Daddy shows him that a tree branch brushing against the window is making the noises and the only monster in Caillou's room is Gilbert. Today Caillou discovers the wonders of the natural world. Grandma introduces Caillou to the many birds that live in the park, and then gives him a bird house for his own backyard. That's why Caillou's prepared when he and Sarah find a baby bird that's fallen from its nest, and they nurse it back to health. Caillou and Sarah are playing together when Caillou notices his friend wiggling her loose tooth back and forth. Caillou wants to be taller like his friend Andre and tries to think of a way to grow faster. Caillou is excited about the arrival of spring, but he's a little disappointed when Dad says there'll be no more snow. Caillou loves Leo's pet hamster and would really like to have his own.

Caillou is awoken by a thunderstorm. Caillou spends the day with Miss Martin, Clementine and Leo on a nature hike through the woods. When Caillou sees Dad painting the house he wants to join in on the fun and he's disappointed when Dad suggests that he should paint a card for Grandma instead. It's a beautiful autumn day and Caillou wants to spend the entire day outside playing in the leaves.

Caillou discovers new things today and is so excited when Daddy brings home a computer. He learns to share the computer with his entire family - even Gilbert! Caillou and Leo are playing dinosaurs in the backyard and discover a fish fossil rock. They visit the library to learn more about dinosaurs and fossils. Also, Caillou takes his first flight and heâ€ôs curious about everything. Then, Grandpa discovers a new planetarium is opening and there's a prize for the best space costume. Caillou's Grandma is surprised when Caillou tells her he doesn't have any friends. She reminds him about Clementine, Leo, his cat Gilbert, and tells him that even his sister Rosie is his friend. Finding fun ways to play is the theme today. Caillou, Clementine, and Leo are disappointed because they can't go to the zoo. Caillou's first airplane ride brings lots of new experiences: a fun breakfast, an amazing view out the window and a trip to the flight deck with Daddy. Caillou and his family then prepare for a day at the beach, where there's so much to see and do. Caillou and Daddy play in the water, and later a seagull steals Caillou's sandwich! Also today, Caillou misses his friend Sarah when she goes on a trip and he's left behind. The puppets set out lawn chairs and towels and encourage Teddy to have his own vacation in the backyard.

Caillou learns there are many different ways to communicate. He makes friends with Robbie, a deaf boy he meets in the park, and leanrs how to communicate using sign language. After getting caught in the rain, Caillou loses his voice, but manages to find other ways to communicate until his voice comes back. Shopping with Daddy, Caillou and Rosie help to surprise Mommy by keeping a secret about her special gift. Also, Teddy won't tell the other puppets why he's sad. Gilbert and Rexy do some research and find out what Teddy needs is a hug.

Autumn brings fresh cool air and fun surprises. Caillou and Rosie have a ball playing in the piles of fallen leaves in the backyard. Come October, Grandpa and Caillou take a trip to the pumpkin patch, and have Daddy help them carve their jack-o-lantern. Caillou also goes trick-or-treating as an astronaut. In Noverber, Thanksgivng seems like a big hassle until Mom and Dad explain its significance, which gets Caillou into the spirit. Teddy, Rexy, and Gilbert enjoy the holidays too; once Gilbert assures Rexy that the falling leaves don't mean the trees are sick.
