Mr and Mrs Kirrin are quarantined with possible Scarlet fever so the children are packed off to stay with genius professor Hayling. On arrival they are delighted to find that a circus has set up in the professor's field. All goes well until some light fingered Fred breaks in and makes off with the prof's secret papers.
