A young woman flees after telling Lars and Leena, who saw her fleeing in panic, she aborted her attempted suicide by drowning after discovering five corpses who got a 'sailor grave' in the lake. Autopsy shows they died at different times, apparently without violence. Lurking around is local hunter Kurt Nickel, who points he team to a local seniors 'communal' estate, where secrets are being kept.

The clobbered corpse of drowned Jörn Holgersen, managing the brewery he co-owned with siblings Frank and Frauke, is found in a keg during a tour on the premises. Brother in law Torsten Schulze, a banker who does the books, points a out a hotel group, suspected of a recent mild beer poisoning after he refused to sell for a small fortune. Fresh widow Silke Holgersen inherits his third and lied about being the actual saboteur. Frank was furious his teen son Benjamin 'Ben(ny)' missed school frequently to be with Jörn, who was the biological father as several kin found out.

When beat cops stop a car for a routine check, driver Heike Siemens makes a hasty run for it and is killed by a passing truck. In the car boot is the corpse of goldsmith Lara Krukowski, employed by jeweler Carsten Kaun. Lars Pöhlmann goes looking in the locked-up shop for missing Kaun, who is kidnapped at gunpoint by a masked robber who found him in leather SM sub attire.

Lea also had a steady local lover, loner maverick musician Martin Neuville, who points at Magnus.

In gourmet restaurant Falkner Sylvie Herford collapses, apparently poisoned, yet didn't touch her plate.
