Schon auf der Fahrt aufs Land zu ihrem nächsten Einsatz, hält Hinrichs Vorträge über moderne Polizeiarbeit, worauf Groth gar nicht weiter eingeht. Die Beiden sollen einen Fall von Viehdiebstahl untersuchen: Scheinbar hat hier eine gut organisierte Bande ihre Finger im Spiel.
